Project Award Wins For Architecture, Interior Design & Landscape Architecture

We are humbled to have received six awards across the SA Architecture Awards and the SA Landscape Architecture Awards through the AIA and AILA 2023 awards program. This is an acknowledgment and recognition of our collaborative and integrated design process which has resulted in bespoke design outcomes that prioritise the user experience, the environment and social connectivity. Thank you and congratulations to our valued clients, consultants and to our design team for this outstanding achievement.

The awards received include:

  • Josephine Evans – Sir James Irwin President’s Medal: “Jo’s holistic approach to design, her commitment to client relationships, and her dedication to advancing the architectural profession makes her a truly deserving recipient of the Sir James Irwin President’s Medal. Her outstanding career achievements and her tireless efforts to create a built environment that is both functional and inspiring have had a profound impact on the architectural landscape of South Australia.” – AIA Jury Citation

  • Magill Village Redevelopment – Award for Civic Landscape: “The Magill Village Redevelopment represents an ambitious, comprehensive streetscape vision for public enjoyment and health. Such visions are rarely realised. It will change perceptions and expectations of how communities value the environments of local spaces that can be much more than efficient thoroughfares, catering to a wide variety of mobilities.” – AILA Jury Citation

  • Seaton High School Learning Centre – Award for Educational Architecture: “The external form, expression and materiality are reflective of place. Light-filled and inviting internal spaces are cleverly located to connect directly to their natural surroundings. It is evident that landscape and people take priority, creating a welcoming environment that meets the needs of this specialist entrepreneurial school. The architects are to be commended for delivering a holistic and well considered outcome, particularly given the constrained budget. This new building integrates clever design decisions that exceed the brief and respond well to the site and outdoor environment.” – AIA Jury Citation

  • SHAPE Fitout – Commendation for Interior Architecture: “We LOVE our new home. Our brief to JPE was to create a home for our team and a space we can share with our clients, consultants and sub-contractors. The design has greatly benefitted the way we work, offering a dynamic and flexible space that reflects our culture and values. Thank you JPE for listening and exceeding in delivering our vision and hope for our new home.” – Jodie Pitcher, SHAPE

  • Thorndon Park Playground – Award of Excellence for Playspace & the Shade Smart Award: “Within the site, certain elements are left decidedly ambiguous to foster the imagination and encourage creative play. The Thorndon Park Playground stays true to its goal of creating ‘something for everyone’ whilst creating an engaging and iconic playscape for the Adelaide suburbs.” – AILA Jury Citation
