The Campbelltown Preschool, is a long, linear site located opposite the Campbelltown Library and Community Centre. The design response connects to the story of Fourth Creek, a creek which runs through Campbelltown, and representationally weaves its way through the new design for the Campbelltown Preschool outdoor learning space.

The creek forms a main pathway which connects the outdoor learning zones with the school entrance as well as branching to create a true dry creek bed, terminating at the sand pit. The outdoor learning space provides an extension to the internal learning spaces, and provides opportunity for open ended play and exploration. The outdoor space provides multiple opportunities for children to express and challenge themselves. The inclusion of a pizza oven extends beyond the preschool and opens the outdoor space to allow the community and families to gather.
