Thebarton Theatre Complex Redevelopment

Our team were engaged to deliver a master plan for the Thebarton Theatre Complex, transforming this historic and iconic Adelaide landmark into a modern, state-of-the-art entertainment hub.

The design is set to include several key upgrades, including the construction of a new 2-storey entry lobby, new bathroom amenities, stair and lift access, a landscaped carpark and a dedicated loading dock and store room with mechanical lift and direct access to stage level which will significantly improve the ease and efficiency of loading and unloading equipment, sets and props. The upgrade will also include renovations to the bar and lounge areas, including the removal of non-heritage walls, installation of a new bar, furniture and internal finishes.

Upgrades to the existing Theatre Plaza are also proposed, with new landscaping, paving, seating, lighting and operable screens for event mode. The revitalisation of the Thebaron Theatre Complex seeks to maintain the charm and history of this iconic venue, while enhancing the capabilities, offering and cementing its status as a premier entertainment destination in South Australia.
